This Privacy Policy explains how Zehri ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Zehri mobile app and the website at zehri.house (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: first and last name, email address, password (stored encrypted), phone number, and optionally gender, date of birth, zip code and a short bio.
- Property listings: details you post about a property, such as title, description, price, address, map location and photos.
- Messages: chat messages you exchange with other users through the Service.
- Support requests: your name, email and message when you contact us through the Help page.
Information collected automatically
- Activity in the app: properties you favorite, hide or recently view, and your saved searches.
- Device information: a push notification token so we can send you notifications, plus basic technical data such as device type, operating system and IP address.
- Cookies: the website uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your language and currency preferences.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, including sending verification and password reset codes to your email.
- To publish your property listings and show them to other users.
- To let you communicate with property owners, agents and other users.
- To show favorites, saved searches, recently viewed properties and relevant listings.
- To send notifications about messages, listings and account activity.
- To answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the Service secure.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. What other users can see
Property listings you post, including photos, location and price, are public. Your name and the profile details you choose to share may be shown to other users with your listings or in chat. You can make your profile private in your account settings.
4. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the Service, including our hosting provider, Google Firebase (push notifications) and Google Maps (maps and location display). They may process your data only on our behalf.
- Other users, as described in section 3.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of Zehri, our users or others.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except for information we must keep to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
6. Your rights and choices
- Access and update: you can view and edit your profile at any time in the app or on the website.
- Delete your account: you can delete your account and its data from the account settings in the app. You can also email us to request deletion.
- Notifications: you can turn off push notifications in your device settings.
- Location: the map location of a property is only collected when you add it to a listing.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and encrypted password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be announced in the app.
